The "cure" for aids - immuno-suppressants. The symptoms of aids - suppressed immune system. Call me Mr Cynical, but why does a cure that doesnt cure anything have the same effects as the disease it is supposed to fight?

Always knew AIDS would turn out not to be. In school (1993) we were told "by the year 2000 you will all either have AIDS or know someone with AIDS"!!!

I personally don't even think there is such a disease.

Was it thatchers or majors government who sent round leaflets about it to every house in the country. I remember our whole class being pulled into the TV room (at primary school) to be shown an aids infomercial. When I watched TV, there was the story about Mark Fowler having aids, and a whole host of other things on TV highlighting the ideology to the mass public. Meanwhile durex were rubbing their hands with glee saying "we condom good"

Edit : maybe I laugh too hard at my own jokes when people are genuinely suffering (through AZT or other agent)
