How many blackmails does it take to create an MP?

I would say, it all depends on how many light bulbs they claimed on expenses! - If it's 143,000 grands worth, well.........about 67,000 light bulbs, I guess @ Tesco prices!

When they choose a Candidate, what happens is this.

The Candidate enters the room, and sits in a chair.

They tap the side of his head with a small hammer (the kind that tests reflexes)

If a dull, woody sound is heard, then the Candidate is chosen.

If an empty ringing sound is heard, the Candidate is chosen.

Otherwise the Candidate is rejected.

It's true ... I swear.

Thanks V - now I have the answer to the question - as above, but a light is shone in one of the candidates ears - should no light escape from the opposite ear, he is rejected. If, however, light does appear from the other ear, he is immediately given a position. In addition, the brighter the light, the higher the office.

So the answer is: one.
