I grovel in abject apology.

It sold on eBay for $15.000 dollars AU.

Absolutely V! It is a snip. I'm tempted to edit it and put "it's cheap at twice the price!" somewhere in there.

I've not heard of the chap who auctioned one on ebay... I'll have to look that one up.

I'll let you all know what the outcome is as soon as I start the ball rolling with this one...

This reminds me very much of my old answer phone message I had a few years ago... which was:

"You've reached the Saravana household. To speak to the Master of the House, press 1. If this call concerns any money I might owe, press 2. To speak to the cat, 'meow' twice then press the hash key. For all other enquiries, please hold... <some jinggly music plays in the background> "You're call is important to me, or it would be if I were here to take it. Please continue to hold, or alternatively, call back another day. Thank you."

More often than not, the dullard at the call centre, or whoever it was calling, actually did press 1, 2 or whatever!! Of course, it cut them off... Then I'd ring 1471, and if it was a relation or friend, I'd call back. If not, I didn't bother. :rotfl:

I actually had a very similar one to that initially. It said:

"Your call is important to me, but all of my Agents were busy at the moment, handling other callers. Your call is in a queue, and we'll get to you as soon as possible. You position in the queue currently stands at 326. But if you are selling double glazing, you might as well hang up. Press 1 to hear this message again. Press 6 if you want something completely ineffective to do."

(I think we take to this Lawful Rebellion thing like ducks to water)

Love it!! :rotfl:

I ended up deleting mine in the end as I was getting tired of hearing my own voice kicking in as the answer machine went into action.
