Mobile phone masts

Use this link to find the masts in your location. (be patient, the page takes a little while to load once you have zoomed into street view)

We have 10 within 1 square mile, 8 mobile operators, 1 network rail and one police/emergency. (excellent PDF)

These links and the info contained within merely scratch the surface.
We intend to move forthwith.

Only one mast is required for every 5 miles to provide total coverage.

Jim Stone wrote an excellent article on his website, where he raised concerns about the size of the transformers they're putting in on these things.

Many times greater than what was actually needed. Does'nt make any financial sense (transformers are not cheap).

I was going to post a link to it but it seems to have disappeared from his website, at least for the time being.
