I guess most, by now, have some idea of what is meant by the legal term 'person'. But language changes and whose definition of person do we accept? In case it is of interest in some future confrontation, here is a definition that predates any legislation you are likely to encounter by a couple of thousand years; it may present an interesting alternative interpretation:

Lao Tzu, 6th C BC wrote:Each person is the living known, unable to find itself because of its separation from the unknown

Lao Tzu goes on to point out that 'Knower and unknown are the same mystery. So be easy with all that is known and all that is unknown."
