Apologies for the delay in replying to you.

As you will know The Edinburgh Gazette is the Official Newspaper of Record and as such we need to confirm that any notices we accept for publishing comply with legislative or procedural requirements. As part of this we usually request that notices are attested by a solicitor to their validity in law and confirmation as to which piece of legislation they refer to, is this something you could provide (a letter, fax or email from your solicitors would suffice)?

Thank you for your reply.

You are seeking legislative or procedural confirmation of my Declaration that I hope to publish with you and that it may be attested by a solicitor to its validity in law.

I hope my answers whilst not satisfying your usual response are nonetheless satisfactory.

Maxims of law –

· An argument drawn from a similar case, or analogy, avails in law.

· Everything is permitted, which is not forbidden by law

The rights of man to self determination are ancient rights recognised through the ages. We need only look at the legislative path being proposed by the Scottish National Party or the inalienable rights claimed as self evident by the founding fathers of the United States of America.

Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable, a most sacred right - a right which we hope and believe is to liberate the world. Nor is this right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government may choose to exercise it. I can confirm in accordance with your Terms and Conditions that I have

11.1 “the right, power and authority to submit the Notice” and
11.2 “the Notice is not false, inaccurate, misleading nor does it contain fraudulent information” and
11.3 “the Notice is submitted in good faith, does not contravene any Act of Parliament nor is it in any way illegal or defamatory or an infringement of any other party's rights or an infringement of the British Code of Advertising Practice.”

And accordingly do not require the services of a solicitor to attest to my Declaration or its validity in law.

I hope you agree that whether secession is sought via referendum or other means it has and remains to be a valid essential and lawful inalienable right of mankind.
