I've been trying to get my head around TAMS and the Lawful Bank. Roger Hayes is promoting this to pay utility bills and council tax. As I understand it, paying the corporations can be leveraged 10:1 using TAMS.
The TV licence fee funds the BBC and is also collected by the BBC. I object to paying the BBC the £145.50 per annum for permission to view TV programmes. However, using TAMS, I should be able to deposit £100 to get £1000 for TV licence fee payment. This should reduce the TV licence fee to effectively £14.55 per annum.
Am I right in thinking that a TAMS escrow account to pay the TV licence fee can be set up with the Lawful Bank, and effectively reduce my funding of the BBC by 90%? It seems like a great way to get people involved with the Lawful Bank, and also get rid of the TV licence, as it costs the BBC something like £7 of establishment money per licence to cover the licence fee collection costs.
