Advice needed ?? : i got fine on metrolink tram, police :

Postby rustinj » Sun Aug 10, 2014 7:39 am

OK, so on thursday i was travelling just one stop home on manchesters metrolink trams, was a dumb thing to do but i tried putting my pound coins in the machine and one came out, and a tram was about to leave so i chanced it and jumped on without a ticket.....yeah i know, dumb. Anyway i was only going one stop, 4 minutes up the road.....when i got off the tram the inspectors were there with the police....

The police by the way seem to be working with the metrolink tram staff quite regularly as a back up.

So...i gave a flase name to try and get away with it, then the police starts radioing all the information i give, i have him a previous adress then said i wasnt prepared to give more than one previous adress and he slaps handcuffs on me and the station and says to me " come on im taking you in" then i panicked and said i'd give him my name, the cuffs were on way too tight too and i told him, but to no avail, the 2 coppers were acting as revenue protectors for the metrolink trams.

Anyway i gave the police all my details and the ticket inspector for the metrolink gives me a £100 fine, i cant afford it, im out of work. The policeman asked for someone i knew for his records, so i gave my mums address, then the policeman is like well you better pay it 'because im sure you dont want us contacting your mum' as a way of a threat to me.

But.....the metrolink ticket inspector has dated the ticket by mistake the 7.7.14 instead of the date of the fine which was the 7.8.14, on thursday just gone.

As it is dated wrong can i get off the fine ?? and how ??

any advice on this matter appreciated :)

So im guessing i'll be getting a letter through the door shortly for the fine. It was dated wrong the copy of the fine i got at the station.

So should i return the fine i'll be getting in the post soon ? Im new to this sort of stuff.

If i pay within 14 days it says i get 50 % off and it will be £50, if not it will be £100 fine

Hi, thanks for the link, and ive read throug it all, and i agree with the points and how they use our name, a legal fiction so to speak

Are you able to advise me in some way how to proceed with this now ?? I got this letter through the door on behalf of metrolink manchester who handed out the fine at the station, which was dated a month wrong by the way, anyway heres the letter i got today http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k255/stin74/DSCF8272.jpg

I agree in principle with the freeman philosophy, but i did sign the fine at the station

Can you or anyone advise me how to proceed now with this, or should i just paty it and put it down to experence ? it goes up to £100 if i dont pay in he nest few days or so, then its a court summons/prosecution.

What would you do in this case if you were in my position ?

hi rustinj.

as i pointed out here.i...nor anyone on this site, are here to hold your hand,or give out advice.

obviously, you have the inteligence to work out/know
the 2 coppers were acting as revenue protectors for the metrolink trams.

you have the information, regarding your..`so called name.

the only other point,i can stress,is....CONTRACT IS...THE LAW..in commerce.

the letter, you recieved, looks like,an in house debt collection agency.ie..A THIRD PARTY INTERLOPER

which begs question ....who is making the claim....MR.FUCKING SCRIBBLE.

however i note, that, for you time is of the essence.

so for your further education` regarding commerce,i`m directing you to this site.

i must say, that your efforts so far have been
absolootly admirable.
kind regards.
