Advice From Experienced Member Needed

Postby samyalson » Sat Feb 23, 2019 12:38 pm

Hi

I need to ask whether my planned actions now will negatively affect my plans.

In short, I have 2 CCs, one with a £10k balance, and the other with £7k, as well as a mortgage of £116k.

I planned to stop paying the CCs this month, wait for the correspondence and then send the letters available on this site. In the meantime, I will continue paying the mortgage until I have researched how to challenge it successfully.

Based on research I've been doing, challenging a mortgage is harder because of the amount, as well as the fact that there is a 3rd party involved, the land registry. But based on what I was reading and watching yesterday, this process will be long and drawn out.

I want to ask someone who is more experienced whether stopping payment of the CCs now can affect my plan to change my legal status.

Thanks in advance.

Hi. Sammyalson.
Welcome to the site.
Credit Cards=frauds
AND-Good thinking regarding your mortgage.

Having never had one, I have not watched the process through the courts ie..Micheal of Bernicia.e.t.c

Bit confused regarding your last question.

warm regards.

Howdy pitano1

Thanks for the welcome :shake:

I'll look that name up, cheers.

What I meant by the last question was, if I stop paying my credit cards, will this have a knock-on effect regarding challenging my mortgage at some future point? i.e. make it harder. I'm looking at this as a chess game, and I don't know if non-payment of credit cards now will have future repercussions on challenging the mortgage.

As I say,I have never had your opportunity to challenge, but I think if you
challenge the promissory note /mortgage/whilst remaining in honour.?

But I could be wrong.
