Am I being spied on?
In a way, yes. But the spying is consensual. You agree to be monitored, and a potential reduction in premiums is the reward.

It’s not really an insidious, Big Brother device though. Nothing is being monitored that you won’t be told about. So – in that sense – you’re not being spied on.
