Maybe this is what 'they' do?

Maybe this is what 'they' do?

I apologise if someone has posted this before, but these days I don't get time to read very much on FMOTL.

It is well known that Income Tax is applies to NET INCOME. Which is calculated by subtracting ALLOWANCES from GROSS INCOME.

As a Sovereign individual it is always your choice as to whether or not you accept ALLOWANCES.

If you write to HMRC, WAIVING ALL BENEFITS & ALLOWANCES ... then your income is solely GROSS INCOME.

You have no NET INCOME ... because there is no way to calculate it.

And the 'tax' on NOTHING is always nothing.

Perhaps someone could find the time to write to them and ask them? And update us all?

It's pretty easy:
Dear Sirs,

It is my understanding that Income Tax is calculated on Net Income, which is Gross Income less Allowances. Will you please confirm whether or not my understanding is correct?

Thanking you in anticipation.

Sincerely … etc.

And … when they say "Yes" … it would be possible to write:
Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your clarification.

Can you please explain (quoting Statute References) how you could calculate Net Income if I were to waive all Allowances and Benefits?

Thanking you in anticipation.

Sincerely … etc.

(Thanks to Tir Na Saor for this idea)

Actually, perhaps the first questions should be:

Dear Sirs,

Is Income Tax voluntary?

Thanking you in anticipation.

Sincerely … etc.

A "No", being followed up with:
Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your clarification. Do you understand what SOVEREIGNTY is?

Thanking you in anticipation.

Sincerely … etc.

Hi Veronica,
Thanks for posting this info.

As i have been putting in questions and FOI requests to HMRC regarding income tax, i will add these questions to the list and post their responses.

I have been collecting a portfolio of evidence to illustrate, that HMRC cannot provide me with reference of the law obligating me (the human being) to pay income tax.

As the old legal maxim says "ignorance is no defence in law", if i have gone down every avenue and done everything i can to find and clarify that law, they can hardly claim my ignorance.

Just to update my current situation regarding my post in this section of the forum.

The HMRC threatened me in December with baliffs if i did not pay income tax they felt i owed by 28/12/09.

I have not paid it and have had no further correspondence from them.

If and when i do i will post anything relevant.

Cheers
HMQ
