List of Police Officers charge/convicted of an offence

I saw one of those cop reality programmes last weekend and they arrested a bloke for drink drivin and no insurance. They took him back to the sty and he answered their questions with a "You'll find that in my claim of right" he refused to give a breath test and claimed common law jurisdiction. At the end of the programme the announcer said he was released without charge. I wonder why.....................

So - By my maths that is 0.70% of the total number of police officers in this country. Further interesting quote from the government, it is estimated that at least twenty percent of the working population has a criminal record and one in three men under the age of 30 have criminal convictions"

Me - One shouldn't always believe what one is told by a Government There are 97,000 people in prison,(this would include any Police Officer in prison too), out of a population of 60 million. The Police Officers on the list I compile, are all charged or have been convicted of serious crimes, ones of which I would consider to be worthy of custodial sentences, especially as they are Police Officers who should have high integrity.

This would equate to 0.14% of the public, not 20%. Even if you took into account only "the working population" say 30 million (people who do not work have been known to commit crime too), this would be a percentage of 0.32%.

So it seems to me, to be quite fair to say, that you're more likely to come across a criminal if they're wearing a Police uniform, than if they are a "member of the public".

I've joined many forums in my time, been admin on many too. I think it's fair to say that I've never posted abusive, offensive or nasty comments. I've only ever been blocked on two of them. Funnily enough, they were both Police forums. I think that says more about them than it does about me.

They will never beleve what you say mate... Its not in there nature.. When the hard facts are placed infront of them, then perhaps things will be different

Some great stuff going on here Woodman especially highlighting the standard of police officers in this country.

By the way I wouldn’t take any notice at all of the “special constables” forum or comments as these are not “real” police officers. They are only part time hobby people most of which find it difficult to string a complete sentence of words together!

This is why most of them have full time jobs which are menial & simple and require only a minimum level of intelligence such as assembly workers, cleaners and packing in warehouses etc or no full time job at all.

It is common knowledge that these people therefore often feel inadequate and this is understandable. By putting on a uniform at weekends and pretending to be important it is their way of dealing & coping with their circumstances and it makes them feel better.

The best way to deal with these people is to ignore them and let them amuse themselves with their own little forum where they can discuss their hobby…and leave forums like this to the grown ups!!

Yeah Woodman that's the one. It would be interesting to hear the comments of the Policy Officers on this matter and the fact that their cars are only insured with Self Bonding Insurance. Keep us informed Knowledge is Power.

He was suspended, it's likely he'll now go before a Police 'panel', who'll decide whether he should keep his job or not.

Saw another cop show tonight (Police Interceptors) in which they chased a ford focus down the A50 at 133mph and showed him driving dangerously and eventually crashing into another car and a lorry. The announcer said after a spell in hospital the man was released and no further action was taken due to lack of evidence. So what exactly do you call the video that the tv program was showing? Sounds dodgy to me.
