(Ray St. Clair told me about this).
Some while ago a couple of scanned pages went round the Internet.
I sent them out to this list.
They were from the Justice's Clerk's Society, and related to their
advice on how to proceed with Council Tax Liability Hearings.
The content was a load of old bollox, and (you may recall) the very
last point said something like "Try to ensure that people don't
realise that the Council is actually in charge".
Apparently, the day after that 'circular' was issued, the Justice's
Clerk's Society was DISSOLVED as a Company.
I checked the Companies House Website and - it's true - the
Justice's Clerk's Society has been dissolved as a Company.
What do we make of this?
I don't know.
Possibly they started up again under a new name.
