Subject: Well ... it makes me smile, anyway ...

In Amerika ... in the south ... "you" (singular) is "Y'awl" ... as in "Haar y'awl doin'?"

I think most people know that.

But ... does anyone know what the plural is? "You" plural?

It's "Awl y'awl" ... as in "Haas awl y'awl doin'?"

Well ... it makes me smile.

(Two countries, separated by a common language ...)

I have to be honest, they've got some quite good sayings, such as (again Deep South): "As daft as a bag of hammers!" (it's the visualisation ... the idea ... of hammers ... in a bag ... and the 'intelligence' of all of them ... together ... banging against each other) ... just makes me smile ...

... and, for "exhaustion" or "complete failure", there's: "Well, I'm a blowed out pecker-wood!" (the visualisation of a completely shagged-out woodpecker)
