I had occasion to download YooToob video today ... to save on my hard discs.

The trick is to take the original URL, for example: ... and place an "ss" in front of where is says "youtube", i.e. ... and then "Go" in your Browser (you can click on this link ... it's the same thing).

(Notice: The "ss" goes AFTER the "dot" following "www")

You'll get a page called "", offering the YooToob URL in a box, and a Download button.

You'll also see various formats in which the video can be downloaded, e.g. FLV, MP4, WebM & 3GP, etc.

Click on the format you'd like ... MP4 will play in (free!) Application VLC (which plays loads of stuff Windows Media Player won't).

The download will start ... choose "Save".

That's about it. You don't need any extra software.
